Consecration

The Consecration took place at Freemasons' Hall,Great Queen Street,LondononMarch 29th, 1926. The ceremony was conducted by W Bro. Alexander Burnett Brown, Deputy Prov. Grand Master on behalf of RW Bro. H.RH. The Duke of York, K.G., P.G.W (His late Majesty King George VI), who was then Provincial Grand Master. It will be of interest to note the reproduction on page 2 of the then R. W. Provincial Grand Master's letter dated March 27th, 1926 to the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, father of W Bro. Trevor Burnett Brown. There were present at the Consecration: 20 Founders, 8 Consecrating Officers and 244 Visitors. W. Bro. F. Leonard Bishop, P. Prov. G. Treas. was installed as the first Master and he invested W Bro. J. Alfred Sharp, D.D. as acting I.P.M., Bro. S. J. Fraser as Senior Warden and Bro. A. Macpherson as Junior Warden, W. Bro. Frederick Rees as Treasurer and Bro. Wesley W. A. Couzens as Secretary.

At this meeting five Propositions for Initiation and two for joining were read, the latter being those of Bros. R Cecil Vemon and Reginald J.Davis.
